The Department of Civil Engineering was established in 2013 when this Polytechnic was started by the Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of Bihar. The institute is affiliated with the State Board of Technical Education, Bihar, and approved by the All India Council of Technical Institutions (AICTE), New Delhi. The institute provides three years of diploma courses in four engineering streams; a Diploma in Civil Engineering is one of the most popular programs of engineering here. The Department of Civil Engineering has multifarious faculties having teaching as well as field experiences. The Department is privileged to have well-equipped and established laboratories & Classrooms. The Department successfully provides competent diploma holders by continuously shaping the young minds. Many Pass-out students are working with State/Central Govt. Departments, PSUs, and Private Construction Companies.
